Sponsors needed for Draw Together, the largest sidewalk chalk drawing event on the North Shore, Saturday, Aust 19, 2023, from 11 AM to 3 PM.
Designed as a family-friendly community event, Draw Together includes an open house for art classes for all ages and skill levels with hands-on demonstrations and a host of special events.
All funds raised will support the art education programs at TAC, a 63-year-old not-for-profit organization, with scholarships, supplies, outreach, and the over 300 classes we offer with over 2,400 enrollments a year.
Food, Music, Fun: This year the event will include treats from the Fat Shallot food truck, a DJ, Bach to Rock Music School, and live performances by Laura Doherty & The Heartbeats.
A Chicago favorite in the family music scene, Laura Doherty & the Heartbeats, acoustically rock your kid’s world with breezy folk-pop tunes from her multi-award winning recordings, including her latest album "High Five", full of upbeat and heartfelt songs about friendship, family and childhood. - Chicago Tribune
Added bonus: kids can meet Daisy from the PBS Daytime Emmy Award Winning program, Nature Cat, live and ‘in person’!
It’s not too late to become a sponsor for the great, family-friendly event. You can even sponsor chalk boxes we’ll donate to other not-for-profits in the area.
Since I wasn't at the meeting, please send me your Happy News and I'll place them here next week. -mb

Ed Kugler is one of the brains behind the Ravinia Farmer's Market which has been gathering since 1978. To celebrate this mile marker, there will be an "All Day Farmers Market" next week, Wednesday, August 9th. Open from 7 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., this free event will have a performance by Fitzpatrick School of Irish Dance at 1p and a Taste of Ravinia starting at 2p until closing.
The famers market is most proud of its quality food and products offered as well as a being sustainable and earth friendly market.
Ed has offered a free booth for Rotary on Wednesday. Since we are not meeting (in order to rest up for the golf outing) those interested in manning the booth for a few hours a shift, please contact Paul Clements at pclements@bestversionmedia.com
