Pearls of the Club
Too often we... enjoy the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.

Brad and Ida will join us along with the four SaLT students who traveled to DC. They will share their stories. Jack Diamond was back! He was very happy to return after a health issue. Paul Clements was happy that his daughter Veronica will have her first curated show at Hot Pink Platter! He also reminded everyone that this weekend Larry Block and HP Strings has a concert at Ravinia. This concert is the only one that you pay for tickets. Paul bought 6 and now the concert is sold out! Larry called to buy a few of them back! Eric Ephraim was happy for Mary Beth's good news.
Note: If I didn't list your Happy Dollars from this week, please let me know and I will add it next time (I had to walk away to see about a lunch order). -mb
The Day's Program
Today, Christian Stevens, BSA and Eagle Scout Candidate, presented his plans for his Eagle Scout project. Christian is a junior at Carmel Catholic HS. His passions are art, technology, track and video games (he is a bi-athlete - track and e-sports). Applying his passions, Christian's plan for his Eagle Project is to give the family room at A Safe Place a serious upgrade. That would update the current television, have another for videogames, create a play area for toddlers and an art corner. The cushions on the chairs have seen better days and there is a plan for new ones. His goal is make this space a room to service all members of the family and provide familiar activities for the children. He also plans to make a wooden coffee table for the room at the seating area. His budget is $6.000 and so far has reached $4,200. Donations can be made by using this link: https://asafeplaceforhelp.org/get-involved/donate-now/  (please include Christian Stevens' Eagle Project) or by using the QR code:
