President Paul Clements greeted members and our speaker, Ilyse Strongin, of Ripple Public Relations. We recited the Pledge of Allegiance and the Four Way Test.

Rosewood Beach Clean this Saturday, 9:30a to 11:30a. Club members who are available to help should bring gloves, garbage bags, maybe even snacks for the students.

Fred Orkin is happy that he was able reschedule his cardio rehab to another time and can now join us! Skip Jacobs is happy for the change in seasons. Neil Dahlmann is happy because today is is his wife's birthday and he already gave her her birthday present! Doris Xie is happy the Club has been accomadating with her schedule.

The Day's Program

Ilyse Strongin is Ripple Public Relations. She assists n promoting Celebrate Highwood, Ravinia Business District, Central Business District and the City of Highland Park which includes The LOT. The Great Highwood Pumpkin Festival is in its 15th year, growing in size every year. She began the program with one of Highwood's alderman based on his hometown's event in New Hampshire. Although the two festivals have competed to break the world's record, the NH festival still holds that title. This year they are building "Pumpkin town" Volunteers are needed to build it, so you are interested, you can contact her at ilyse@ripplepublicrelations.com,

The LOT 2.0 is still a work in progress the antique market and the old cars are big draws as is the Taste of Highland Park.
