Today we welcomed Amy Kaufman. She is the Director of Development and Community Relations at Community Partners for Affordable Housing (CPAH). She was the second of two employees in their original space at 400 Central Avenue in Highland Park. They have now grown to a staff of 25 people in Libertyville. CPAH began as three separate entities - Community Partners for Affordable Housing, Affordable Housing of Lake County, and Lake County Residential Development Corp. They provide assistance for those looking for housing - either rentals or purchases. They also provide financial literacy programs and other classes for prospective families. They serve all of Lake County and North Cook County. They have helped families get a roof over their heads, helped them to save money, repair homes and during the pandemic helped save 199 houses from foreclosure.
