Happy Dollars
Paul Clements was happy to welcome our speaker and guests; Ghida Neukirch was happy to be with us - she missed us all; Doris Xie was happy for World Polio Day and to have her friend Dr. Carol Pandak here to speak to us and receive our donation with her matching funds challenge; Karen Dennis was happy for the beautiful fall day and thankful that Doris is a member of our Club and able to bring Dr Pandak to speak to us; Eric Ephraim congratulated Paul and Doris for the bringing this meeting together and his son played offense and defense last week and completed 116 plays! Jack Diamond was happy the stitches in his leg from a fall in Portugal were finally removed; Ben Jagim was happy to be back - he and his wife just returned from Ireland: Dale Mugler was happy that he and Karla would be having a house full with his brother and the brother's family for college visits - Northwestern is where many Muglers graduated! And finally, Glenn Garlick was happy to be at a club that he didn't need to speak at!
You don't have to wait until meeting day to share your happiness! Click on the yellow box below, donate your happy dollars and then email Mary Beth at hphwrotary@gmail.com and tell her what you're happy about!
The Day's Program
Dr. Pandak brought us up to date with our fight against Polio on World Polio Day. New cases are very few and primarily centered in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
After her presentation, we presented her with our Club donation of $3000 thanks to Doris' 2:1 matching funds challenge.
