A Message From Our Club President

Welcome to the Rotary Club of Highland Park/Highwood!

The Rotary Club of Highland Park/Highwood is 1 of 32,000 clubs worldwide.  Our focus is on making a difference locally and internationally. Rotary International is a worldwide organization of more than 1.2 million men and women dedicated to the ideal of “Service Above Self,” working to promote peace and humanitarian efforts locally and across the globe.

Our club meets most Tuesdays from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Community Room downstairs at First Bank of Highland Park.  We enjoy lunch and camaraderie with other business professionals in the area, as well conduct a brief business meeting and have weekly informative speakers on a variety of topics. We also have one evening meeting monthly at a local Highland Park or Highwood venue.

We always welcome new members and guests.   Rotary clubs are open to people of all ages, cultures, and ethnicities. We are not affiliated with any political or religious organizations.  Although we come from different backgrounds, the drive to serve our community and make the world a better place unites us.   Over the years we have partnered with various agencies over the years to foster proactive change for youth, education, and health and human service initiatives.  We have supported organizations such as A Safe Place, providing service to women and children of domestic violence; we have made care packages for military personnel; coordinated a winter wear drive for a local nursery school for families in need, feeding the hungry and more.  We sponsor Highland Park High School’s Interact Club, which comprises nearly 100 students who are also driven by the motto “Service Above Self”.

We welcome you to our club, where you might learn more about the Highland Park/Highwood area and the efforts our club puts forth to strengthen our communities.

I am honored to volunteer alongside dedicated, generous, smart, and caring individuals who strive to make our community and the world a better place daily.  Come join us –

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me anytime.

I look forward to meeting you!

Phill Lazarus

President, Rotary Club of Highland Park/Highwood

Our Mission
We gather with the common goal of Service Before Self. Through our efforts we help those in need in the communities of Highland Park and Highwood through grants, scholarships as well as those around the world.

Join Us
Much like families gathering, there is always room for more at our table.

If you feel that itch to expand your passions, have a purpose again in your life, then please consider joining our club. In over one hundred years, we have worked to give people within our communities and around the world safer drinking water, eradicate polio, provide necessities and services by partnering with our communities and neighboring Rotary Clubs.

We look forward to meeting you!
