You don't have to wait until meeting day to share your happiness! Click on the yellow box below, donate your happy dollars and then email Mary Beth at hphwrotary@gmail.com and tell her what you're happy about! This week, members were thankful for: Eric Ephraim was happy to report his oldest son (a college freshman) has been the starting receiver for the past week. Although his (frosh and soph) team hasn't won, his son did complete 6 catches, ran 114 yards and scored a touchdown! Eric also reminded us that our Club will be a recipient of the $1Million Award from The Rotary Foundation. Emily Graef was happy to invite us to "Music at the Fort" Sunday, November 20th at 6p. Featuring Jared Rabin (an '03 MYAC alum) and band playing Bluegrass & Americana songs. $10.00 per person. Jon Levey was happy to be at the meeting and we were very happy to see him! Len Tenner reminded us to vote on the 8th - making sure we vote "YES" to the D112 proposed security and building upgrades; Mike Babian wanted everyone to save December 9th on their calendars for our Holiday Party! More details to come! Mary Beth was happy because tonight is East On Central's book launch party at the Highland Park Community House at 7p. Volume 21 will be unveiled then! Also, she just completed her first poetry collection in a manuscript and submitted to the Prairie State Prize for a first unpublished book, She won't know until February if she won, but the manuscript can go straight to Kindle Digital Print if need be. The contest is sponsored by Highland Park Poetry. |
