Martha Gray was happy her grandson was leaving for college. Phil Lazarus was overjoyed at the golf outing turnout and all the hard work Len Tenner, Jim Berardi, Doris Xie, Interact students, Brad and Ida did to make it such a success!  Jack Diamond was happy and sad - sad that Phil is moving from his building, but happy that it's only across the street. Skip Jacobs was happy his granddaughter started law school today - not at Fordham in NY where she was planning to, but she got a last minute call, and she is starting at Northwestern!

 

 

 

This week, Doris explained how the Annual Fund works and then took us through the calendar for the year. She has paired the Rotary areas of focus with service projects. For instance, next month's theme is basic education and literacy. Our service project for September is at Bernie's Book Bank followed by dinner at The Silo in Lake Bluff.
