This week, while we were all thankful for the Thanksgiving holiday, Club members were happy for: Karen Dennis was happy for a new assistant and the return of her bookkeeper from maternity leave and also the two free MYAC concerts on Sunday, December 13th at Ravinia's Bennett Gordon Hall at 1:30 p.m. and again at 3:30 p.m.; Sheri Hammond was happy for having her sons home for the holiday and being with friends; Mike Mills was happy to tell us what we get when you cross a guitar and a turkey - I'll let him tell you when you see him! Dale Mugler was happy his granddaughter, a 4th grader at Braeside was excited for the announcement that the school was a Blue Ribbon school and the students got to watch the presentation on Zoom; Len Tenner was happy for the 7 days he spent in LA (sporting a tan) and visiting his daughter; Doris Xie was happy because she has been helping Sandra with a few forms and they are almost done; Mike Lubelfeld was thankful for the holiday, the new plans for the district and his son's football season; Eric Ephraim was also thankful for his son's football season because despite the broken leg early on, he was a co-winner of the "Giant Award" given by the HPHS varsity football team; Ghida Neukirch reminded us to shop local and that every Saturday from Thanksgiving until Christmas, in Port Clinton Square from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., shoppers can enjoy festive entertainment, delicious treats, hot chocolate and more while you browse , shop and dine in the HP's Central Business District establishments. Ravinia Brewing Company will also have cider and festive beers available for purchase.
