Ghida and Foundation Chair Manu Khodadad presented Fred Orkin with a 6+ Paul Harris pin. Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has. - Margaret Mead Ghida Neukirch shared the above quote by Margaret Mead saying this quote really encompassed our club. She thanked members for exemplifying what Rotary means and entrusting her to lead us this past year. She is in awe of the time, energy, generosity and commitment of our club to help the community. Her other favorite quote comes from her years playing soccer: "One person can make a difference, but a team can work a miracle." We make not make miracles happen, but we do make difference in peoples lives. Recognizing Past Presidents, the Board Members and new members like Eric Ephraim and others, Ghida also shed a spotlight on Len Tenner for his role as counsel during her tenure as well the much appreciated and constant communication with Paul Munk. Ghida asked Paul to take the oath of office as Club President, and gave Paul his gavel and the all important mailbox key. Then this year's President Paul asked his Board Members to join him up front. Dale Mugler is President-Elect; Jon Levey is Treasurer, Manu Khodadad is Foundation Chair; Dick Stone is Program Chair, Eric Ephraim is Membership Chair and Len Tenner is Interact Chair. Missing was Carrie Callas, Secretary. President Munk and Len Tenner presented now Past President Ghida Neukirch with a gift of thanks for her leadership and hopes that she continues her counsel. Paul told the club that it is an honor and privilege to serve as our president once again. He understands his responsibilities and is committed to doing his utmost to see our Club's presence and service to the community. President Munk adjourned the meeting. |
