Happy Dollars

This week, members were thankful for: Eric Ephraim was happy he and his wife will be seeing both of their sons this weekend! Dale Mugler was excited to take his grandson to basketball and see so many Interact Students helping other students with homework. Karen Dennis was happy to have her new colleague Emily Graf here! Information on the first recital on the season can be found under announcements. Len Tenner has 2 daughters at U of Michigan (a running joke between those at the meeting). He also reminded everyone that the school referendum is next to Rhoda on the ballot!  Phil Lazarus reminded everyone to vote for Rhoda next month. Mike Lubelfeld was excited that through a grant from us and Education First, there are currently 30 D112 students in the Dominican Republic. They will be learning and working. Dual language is also an important part of this trip. @ videographers from HPHD are there with them and the chaperones. Sheri Hammond said she was glad to here today. Her daughter got married in August and then she and her husband went to Vancouver which was lovely. She also brought goodies from her inventory to share with us - masks and her signature umbrella  contained to look like a bottle of wine! Jim Berardi was happy he had extra money because his third daughter, after watching her play golf for her school, golfed together in a friendly game with two men. They decided to play for money and give allowances since she is a girl. Well, she wowed them, and Jim collected the money!  Mary Beth was happy to have Emily Graf and Bufi Selimos here!

The Day's Program
Bufi Selimos is no stranger to this Club, so it was wonderful to catch up with her. She asatarted just after college at North Shore Health Systems- 31 years ago! She filled us in on how the hospital has been growing and updating their services to our community.

Karen Dennis introduced us to Emily Graf, her new colleague at MYA who will help with fundraising. She and her husband were both members of the Chicago Symphony. Their daughter and son are both alumni of MYA, Her daughter is cello soloist at the Arkansas Orchestra and her son, by hand, created a concert venue in his yard and hold the Tallgrass Chamber Fest.

We missed those of you who couldn't make it - we hope to see you soon!
