This week, members were thankful for: Eric Ephraim was happy our speaker, Mike Lubelfeld and his guest Jeremy Davis, congratulated Jim Berardi and the excellent golf outing, Eric was also glad to get both sons to college, and for everyone present today; Fred Orkin was happy to see our speaker everyday on WGN (almost daily!); Dale Mugler was excited that an algorithm he patented has gathered interest by a Silicon Valley Company - Advanced Micro Devices; Jack Diamond was happy that he and his wife closed on their house and are now in their new apartment; Rhoda Pierce was happy that both of her sons have new books coming out and they will be at the HP Library in October! Mike Lubelfeld was happy that his mother just celebrated her 86th birthday, his daughter started at Michigan State this week, and his son is a freshman at Deerfield HS. He and his son just finished a service trip in the Dominic Republic with the D112 Foundation. He will share with us that trip soon! Len Tenner was happy that a new school referendum will be on the ballot in November - everyone get out and vote YES!! Neil Dahlmann was happy because when he and Mary went to the driver's license office to renew their licenses, he only had to pay $2 and Mary had to pay $5. When he asked why the difference, he was told it was because Neil is 80, and Mary is 79.9! Karen Dennis was happy to be back at a meeting (and not have to run it)! She enjoyed time with her family. She announced MYA is beginning it's 30th years and they have a lot of fun concerts scheduled! Doris Xie sent an email about her happy dollars because today her daughter started her bucket-list adventure trip via California Zephyr train!  |
