With SaLT, Shop N Drop and Love2Learn, this is how our youth impacted our community in 2021:

950 volunteers
15,005 bags of groceries filled
delivered to 1,218 people in 295 families fighting food insecurity
coordinated 25 high school tutors who
volunteered 250 hours tutoring
25 local elementary students!

Happy Dollars

This week Club members were happy for: Karen Dennis for being able to spend the holidays in California with her grandsons, and the other grandchildren came up from St. Louis to spend some time with them! Mary Beth Bretzlauf was happy for the time she had over the holidays with family and with her son and his girlfriend (serious? maybe); Doris Xie was happy Yale extended their winter break so she has more time with her daughter Kimie.

The Day's Program

With our scheduled speaker, Lake County Treasurer Holly Kim home with COVID, and The Summer Inn closed due to this new variant spreading, we met on Zoom. We discussed service opportunities and we will connect with Laura Frey from the HP Senior Center to discuss delivering meals to shut-ins.

We will meet via Zoom again next week. We hope The Summer Inn opens again in time for the 19th evening event. Stay tuned to the bulletin and check you emails for updates.
